Veterinary Practice Act 2021

If a finding is made against a respondent under section 99(1)(b), the Board may do 1 or more of the following —

order that the respondent be reprimanded;

order that the respondent pay to the Board a fine of a specified amount not exceeding —

if the respondent is or was a veterinarian — $2 000; or

if the respondent is or was a veterinary nurse —$1 000;

if the respondent is a veterinarian or veterinary nurse, order that —

a condition be imposed on the registration of the respondent; or

an existing condition on the registration of the respondent be modified.

Notice of an order under subsection (1) must be given in accordance with section 108.

An order under subsection (1) takes effect on the later of the following —

the day on which notice of the order is given to the respondent;

the day (if any) specified in the order.
