Veterinary Practice Act 2021

In proceedings under this Act, a certificate under subsection (2) purportedly given by the Board or the registrar is sufficient evidence of the matters stated in it, except so far as the contrary is shown.

A certificate may state 1 or more of the following —

that a person is or was, or is not or was not —

a veterinarian;

a WA veterinarian;

an interstate veterinarian;

a veterinary nurse;

an authorised person;

that a person does or does not, or did or did not, hold a specified category of registration;

that a veterinarian is or was, or is not or was not, registered in a particular specialty as a veterinary specialist;

any conditions to which the registration of a person is or was subject;

that the registration of a person has or had been suspended or cancelled by a regulatory authority;

that a person was disqualified from applying for registration or being registered as a veterinarian by a regulatory authority;

that premises are or were, or are not or were not, veterinary premises;

details of an entry in the register;

the day or days on which, or period during which, anything referred to in any of paragraphs (a) to (h) applied.
