Subdivision 1General provisions
164 Term of office
(1)
A Board member —
(a)
holds office for the term, not exceeding 3 years, specified in the Board member’s instrument of appointment; and
(b)
is eligible for reappointment.
(2)
A Board member whose term of office expires without a person having been appointed to fill the vacancy continues in office until whichever of the following occurs first —
(a)
a person is appointed to fill the vacancy;
(b)
a period of 3 months elapses after the expiry of the term of office.
(3)
Subsection (2) ceases to apply if the Board member resigns or is removed from office.
