Veterinary Practice Act 2021

The Board must prepare and submit to the Minister, not later than 30 September in each year, a report for the financial year ending on the preceding 30 June together with a copy of the financial statements and the auditor’s report.

The report must include the following —

a report on the operations of the Board during the financial year;

information about —

how complaints made to the Board, and prosecutions for offences under this Act, have been dealt with during the financial year; and

any trends or special problems that may have emerged during the financial year; and

forecasts of the workload of the Board for the next financial year; and

any proposals for improving the operation of the Board;

any other matters arising out of the performance of the Board’s functions that are, in the opinion of the Board, of such significance as to require reporting.

The Minister must cause a copy of the report to be laid before each House of Parliament within 14 sitting days after the report is received by the Minister.

As soon as practicable after subsection (3) has been complied with, the Board must —

publish a copy of the report on a website maintained by the Board; and

ensure that the report is available for inspection on request at the office of the Board.
