Veterinary Practice Act 2021

This section amends the Medicines and Poisons Act 2014.

In section 3 delete the definition of veterinary surgeon.

In section 3 insert in alphabetical order:

In section 3 in the definition of health professional delete paragraph (b) and insert:

a veterinarian; or

In section 31(1) in the definition of relevant regulatory authority delete paragraph (b) and insert:

in the case of a veterinarian, the Veterinary Practice Board of Western Australia established by the Veterinary Practice Act 2021.

In section 77(1) in the definition of client paragraph (b):

delete “veterinary surgeon —” and insert:

delete “veterinary surgeon” and insert:

Delete section 126(f)(ii) and insert:

a veterinarian;
