A single judge of the Queensland Court of Appeal has power under s 44 of the Supreme Court of Queensland Act 1991, read with UCPR r 371(2)(f), to strike out a notice of appeal that fails to comply with UCPR r 747(1)(b) by failing to state briefly and specifically the grounds of appeal. A notice of appeal whose contents are irrational and incomprehensible may be struck out as vexatious.
