The parity principle does not require identical sentences for co-offenders in a joint criminal enterprise where there are material differences including: the number of charges, age disparity (youthful vs mature offenders), differing roles in the enterprise, and differing CCO conditions. A sentence cannot be reduced on parity grounds where the reduction would render it manifestly inadequate.
