117 Destruction or falsification of records
A person commits an offence if—
the person knowingly falsifies or destroys a record; and
the record is a pre-commencement record or another record required to be kept under this Act.
Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units.
Subsection (1) does not apply to the destruction of a record if—
the destruction is authorised by the director-general; or
the record is a hard copy version that has been converted to electronic format.
The defendant has an evidential burden in relation to the matters mentioned in s (2) (see Criminal Code, s 58).
