358 Payola
A person commits an offence if—
(a)
the person holds the person out to the public as being engaged in a business or activity of—
(i)
making disinterested selections or examinations; or
(ii)
expressing disinterested opinions in relation to property or services; and
(b)
the person dishonestly asks for or obtains, or agrees to obtain, a benefit for the person or someone else in order to influence the selection, examination or opinion.
Maximum penalty: 500 penalty units, imprisonment for 5 years or both.
