119 Polling places and scrutiny centres
The commissioner may—
appoint a specified place to be a polling place on polling day for an election; and
appoint a specified place to be a scrutiny centre during the election period for the purpose of the scrutiny at an election.
An appointment is a notifiable instrument.
During a pre-election period, the commissioner—
must give additional public notice of the particulars of each polling place for the election; and
Public notice means notice on an ACT government website or in a daily newspaper circulating in the ACT (see Legislation Act, dict, pt 1). The requirement in s (3) is in addition to the requirement for notification on the legislation register as a notifiable instrument.
may publish notice of the particulars of each polling place for the election by any other means the commissioner determines.
