262 Parties to application under div 16.3
(1)
The following people are entitled to appear in a proceeding under this division:
(a)
the applicant;
(b)
the commissioner;
(c)
if a person whose election is being disputed files a notice of appearance within 7 days after the day when the person is served with a copy of the application under section 261—the person;
(d)
anyone else with the leave of the Court of Disputed Elections.
(2)
A person other than the applicant who appears under subsection (1) is to be taken to be a respondent to the application.
(3)
This section does not apply to an application under section 263.
