54E Service of civil penalty notice
(1)
If the commission believes on reasonable grounds that a person has contravened a civil penalty provision, it may serve the person with a notice to pay a penalty for the contravention (a civil penalty notice).
(2)
The commission must serve the notice within 12 months after the day it forms the belief that the person has contravened the civil penalty provision.
