60 Authority or Minister‑initiated amendments
(1)
The territory planning authority may, on the authority’s own initiative, prepare a document to amend the territory plan (a draft major plan amendment).
(2)
The territory planning authority must prepare a draft major plan amendment if the Minister gives the authority a direction under section 20 (1) (b) (Ministerial directions to authority).
