12A Functions of public health officers
(1)
The chief health officer may, in writing, authorise a public health officer to be an authorised officer for this Act or a provision of this Act.
(2)
The chief health officer may, in writing, authorise a public health officer to be an authorised officer for the Food Act 2001 or a provision of that Act.
Note For the Medicines, Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 2008, see div 7.1.2 (Medicines and poisons inspectors).
(3)
A public health officer may also exercise any other function given to a public health officer by this Act or another territory law.
