12 Application for race bookmaker’s agent licence
(1)
A race bookmaker may apply to the commission for a race bookmaker’s agent licence for a nominated person.
(2)
The application must not nominate more than 1 person.
(3)
The application must include an authorisation, signed by the nominated person, consenting to—
(a)
being nominated in the application; and
(b)
a police officer checking the nominated person’s criminal record and reporting the results of the check to the commission.
(4)
The commission must not decide the application until the commission has received and considered a police report, authorised under subsection (3) (b), about the nominated person.
