Operator must allow time for reading of village contract

(1)

The operator of a retirement village commits an offence if the operator enters into a village contract with a person earlier than 14 days after the day the person (or another person acting on behalf of that person) has been given a copy of the contract.

Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.

(2)

An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
