39 Return etc of licences varied, suspended or cancelled
This section applies to a person whose licence is varied, suspended or cancelled under this Act.
The person commits an offence if the person fails to return the licence to the commissioner for fair trading as soon as practicable (but within 5 business days) after the variation, suspension or cancellation takes effect.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
An offence against this section is a strict liability offence.
If a licence is varied, the commissioner for fair trading must give the person a varied licence, showing the variation, for the remainder of the period of the licence to which the variation relates.
