34B Habeas corpus and prerogative orders
(1)
The Supreme Court has power to grant any relief by way of a habeas corpus order or prerogative order.
(2)
In this section:
habeas corpus order means an order the relief under which is in the nature of, and to the same effect as, relief by way of a writ of habeas corpus.
prerogative order means an order the relief under which is in the nature of, and to the same effect as, relief by way of—
(a)
a writ of mandamus, prohibition or certiorari; or
(b)
an information in the nature of quo warranto.
relief includes remedy.
