14 Direction to engage in unprofessional conduct
(1)
A person commits an offence if—
(a)
the person employs a registered veterinary practitioner; and
(b)
the person directs the veterinary practitioner to engage in conduct that, if engaged in, would be unsatisfactory professional conduct or professional misconduct.
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units.
(2)
For subsection (1), a direction by an agent or employee of the employer is taken to be a direction of the employer unless the employer proves that the employer—
(a)
did not have knowledge of the direction; and
(b)
exercised appropriate diligence to prevent the direction.
