77 Collision proceedings: stay pending security
If, in relation to maritime claims arising out of a collision between 2 or more ships:
a proceeding has been commenced as an action in rem and:
a counter‑claim has been made; or
a cross‑action has been commenced, whether as an action in personam or an action in rem;
a ship has been arrested, or security has been given to avoid arrest, by a party; and
the other party has not arrested a ship or given such security;
the court may, on application, order that the proceeding be stayed until appropriate security has been given to satisfy a judgment given in favour of the other party on the cross‑action or counter‑claim.
