6A APVMA may make guidelines etc
The APVMA may make written guidelines for performing its functions and exercising its powers under this Code.
The APVMA must have regard to the guidelines.
The guidelines must include:
principles and processes for effective and efficient regulation of chemical products and their constituents; and
principles and processes relating to:
the approval of active constituents for proposed or existing chemical products; and
the registration of chemical products; and
the approval of labels for containers for chemical products; and
the variation of relevant particulars and conditions; and
the issue of permits and licences; and
the reconsideration of approvals and registrations.
The guidelines must not be inconsistent with an agvet law.
The APVMA must publish the guidelines on its website.
The guidelines are not a legislative instrument.
