44 Record of manufacture or import of date‑controlled chemical product
For the purposes of paragraph 90(1)(a) of the Code, a record in relation to a date‑controlled chemical product:
must be made:
in written or electronic form; and
in such a way as to ensure that the record is readily accessible for the purposes of Parts 9 and 9A of the Code (which deal with investigative powers and enforcement); and
must include the following particulars:
the name and business address of the manufacturer;
if the product is imported—the name and business address of the importer;
the distinguishing name of the product;
if the product is a registered chemical product—the distinguishing number given to the product under section 20 of the Code;
the volume or quantity manufactured or imported;
the batch number.
For the purposes of paragraph 90(1)(b) of the Code, the period for keeping a record of a date‑controlled chemical product is the period that begins when the record is made and ends 12 months after the expiry date of the product to which it relates.
