34 Director‑General to report to Attorney‑General—general

(1)

The Director‑General shall furnish to the Attorney‑General in respect of each warrant issued under this Division a report in writing on the extent to which the action taken under the warrant has assisted the Organisation in carrying out its functions.

(1A)

If an order was made under subsection 34AAD(2) in relation to the warrant, the report must also include details of the extent to which compliance with the order has assisted the Organisation in carrying out its functions.

(2)

If:

(a)

the warrant was issued under section 25, 25A, 27A, 27C or 29; and

(b)

a thing mentioned in subsection 25(5) or 25A(4) or (8) or 27A(3C), paragraph 27D(2)(h) to (k) or subsection 27E(2) or (6) was done under the warrant;

the report must also include details of anything done that materially interfered with, interrupted or obstructed the lawful use by other persons of a computer or other electronic equipment, or a data storage device.

(3)

For the purposes of this section, any thing done under subsection 25A(8) is taken to have been done under a warrant issued under section 25A.

(4)

For the purposes of this section, any thing done under subsection 27A(3C) is taken to have been done under a warrant issued under section 27A.

(5)

For the purposes of this section, any thing done under subsection 27E(6) is taken to have been done under a warrant issued under section 27C.
