47 Disclosure or use for purposes of development of methodology determinations under the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011
The Regulator may disclose or use protected information that relates to a particular offsets project if:
under section 27 of the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011, the Regulator has declared the offsets project to be an eligible offsets project; and
more than 7 years have passed since the application under section 22 of that Act was made for the declaration; and
the information was:
contained in the application; or
given in connection with the application; or
contained in an offsets report about the project; and
the disclosure or use is for the purposes of facilitating the development of one or more methodology determinations under that Act.
Subsection (1) does not apply to personal information (within the meaning of the Privacy Act 1988).
