Federal Court Rules 2011

A party may file a document in a NZ market proceeding in a registry of the Court if permitted by a law of New Zealand to do so.

A party who files a document under subrule (1) must, at the time of filing:

specify the New Zealand registry to which the document is to be sent; and

specify whether the document is to be sent to the New Zealand registry by post, fax or electronic communication; and

pay the registry an amount for the costs of sending the document to the New Zealand registry in the specified way.

A Registrar will:

at the time of filing, give the party a receipt from the registry that:

contains a general description of the document that was filed; and

states the way in which the document will be sent to the New Zealand registry; and

as soon as practicable after the document is filed:

notify the New Zealand registry that the document has been filed; and

send the document to the New Zealand registry.
