83 Appointment of officers
AFMA may, by instrument, appoint:
an officer or employee of the Commonwealth, of the Administration of a Territory (other than a Territory mentioned in paragraph (b)) or of an authority of the Commonwealth; or
an officer or employee of a State, the Northern Territory or the Australian Capital Territory, or of an authority of a State or one of those Territories, in relation to whom there is in force an arrangement between the Commonwealth and the State or Territory, as the case may be;
to be an officer for the purposes of this Act.
An officer appointed by AFMA is, in the exercise of his or her powers and performance of his or her functions, subject to the directions of AFMA.
