13 Period for making decision on permit application—default period

(1)

If the CEO receives an application for a special export permit, the CEO must decide whether to grant the permit within the period of 40 days starting after the day the CEO receives the application (the decision period).

Note:

This period may be paused or extended under regulation 11, 15, 15A or 15B.

(2)

If the CEO has not decided whether to grant the permit by the end of the decision period, the CEO is to be taken to have decided, on the last day of that period, to refuse the permit.
