Hazardous Waste (Regulation of Exports and Imports) (OECD Decision) Regulations 1996

Within 3 working days after receiving an application to vary a special permit, the CEO must give the applicant written acknowledgment of the receipt.

Within 5 working days after receiving the application, the CEO must:

for a proposed variation of a special export permit—give written notice of the receipt and full details of the proposed variation to:

the competent authority of the importing country for the permit; and

the competent authority of each transit country (if any) for the waste to which the application relates; or

for a proposed variation of a special import permit—give the competent authority of the exporting country written notice of the receipt; or

for a proposed variation of a special transit permit—give the competent authority of the OECD country from which the hazardous waste concerned is to be exported, written notice of the receipt.
