Transboundary movement of wastes for laboratory analysis
8A Transboundary movement of wastes for laboratory analysis
Despite regulations 6, 7 and 8, wastes are not subject to the amber control procedure if:
the wastes are to be sent for laboratory analysis:
to assess physical or chemical characteristics; or
to determine suitability for recovery operations; and
the amount of waste does not exceed 25 kg and is the minimum reasonably needed to perform the analysis; and
notice of the proposed transboundary movement is given to the CEO, in a form approved by the CEO, at least 30 days before the proposed movement; and
within 30 days of receiving notice of the proposed movement, the CEO confirms in writing that the particular wastes are not subject to the amber control procedure.
