99 Other procedural matters relating to meetings

(1)

The Chairperson is to preside at all meetings at which he or she is present.

(2)

If the Chairperson is absent, the members present are to elect one of their number to preside.

(3)

The quorum for a meeting is a majority of Committee members.

(4)

A question arising at a meeting is decided by a majority of votes of Committee members present and voting.

(5)

The Committee member presiding has a deliberative vote only.

(6)

If there is an equality of votes:

(a)

the question is taken to be unresolved; and

(b)

the Committee member presiding may direct that the question be reconsidered at a time and place that he or she fixes.
