172 Executive Director may use computer programs to make decisions

(1)

The Executive Director may arrange for the use, under the Executive Director’s control, of computer programs for any purposes for which the Executive Director may or must take administrative action under this Act.

(2)

Administrative action taken by the operation of a computer program under such an arrangement is, for the purposes of this Act, taken to be administrative action taken by the Executive Director.

(3)

The Executive Director may substitute a decision for a decision the Executive Director is taken to have made under subsection (2) if the Executive Director is satisfied that the decision made by the operation of the computer program is incorrect.
