65ZA Reconsideration of reviewable decisions—conducting the reconsideration
Conducting reconsideration
On receiving an application under section 65Z, the reviewer must reconsider the original decision.
If a delegate of the reviewer is to reconsider the original decision, the delegate must:
not have been involved in making the original decision; and
except in the case of a decision taken to have been made under section 17 or 19AD—occupy a position that is at least as senior as that occupied by the person who made the original decision.
Seeking further information
The reviewer may, by written notice, require the applicant or licensee to give the reviewer further information about the application for reconsideration.
If further information is sought, the applicant or licensee must provide the requested information within 30 days after the day notice is given under subsection (3).
