16 Acting directors of the Authority
Acting Chair of the Authority
The Minister may appoint a person to act as the Chair of the Authority:
during a vacancy in the office of the Chair of the Authority (whether or not an appointment has previously been made to the office); or
during any period, or during all periods, when the Chair of the Authority:
is absent from duty or Australia; or
is, for any reason, unable to perform the duties of the office.
Acting director of the Authority (other than the Chair of the Authority)
The Minister may appoint a person to act as a director of the Authority (other than the Chair of the Authority):
during a vacancy in the office of a director of the Authority (other than the Chair of the Authority), whether or not an appointment has previously been made to the office; or
during any period, or during all periods, when a director of the Authority (other than the Chair of the Authority):
is absent from duty or Australia; or
is, for any reason, unable to perform the duties of the office.
Eligibility
A person is not eligible for appointment to act as:
the Chair of the Authority; or
a director of the Authority (other than the Chair of the Authority);
unless the person is eligible for appointment as a director of the Authority.
