Copies or extracts of records to be admitted in evidence
516 Copies or extracts of records to be admitted in evidence
In any legal proceedings (whether under this Law or otherwise), a copy of or extract from a record relating to affairs of a co-operative is admissible in evidence as if it were the original record or the relevant part of the original record.
However, a copy of or extract from a record is not admissible in evidence under subsection (1) unless it is proved the copy or extract is a true copy of the record or of the relevant part of the record.
For the purposes of subsection (2), evidence that a copy of or extract from a record is a true copy of the record or of part of the record may be given either orally or by an affidavit or statutory declaration by a person who has compared the copy or extract with the record or the part of the record.
