(1)

The person holding office as the Public Service Commissioner under the former Act immediately before the repeal of that Act is taken to have been appointed as the Public Service Commissioner under this Act for the balance of the Commissioner’s term of office under the former Act.

(2)

For the purpose of determining the maximum total terms that a person may hold office as Public Service Commissioner under this Act, a term of office under the former Act is taken to be a term of office under this Act.
