Identification of authorised officers

(1)

The Secretary is to cause each authorised officer to be issued with a means of identification in the form approved by the Secretary.

(2)

In the course of exercising the functions of an authorised officer under this Act, the authorised officer must, if requested to do so by any person affected by the exercise of any such function, produce the authorised officer’s identification for inspection by the person unless to do so would defeat the purpose for which the functions are to be exercised.
