8 Alkalinity
(1)
The alkalinity of the water must be between 80 mg/L and 200 mg/L.
(2)
The alkalinity of the water must be tested once a day.
(3)
However, if liquid chlorine, also known as sodium hypochlorite, is used as a disinfectant in the pool or a carbon dioxide-based pH control is used in the pool, the alkalinity must be tested once a month only.
