2 Definition of small employer for purposes of $500 excess recoverable from employer
Until the regulations otherwise provide, a small business employer, for the purposes of section 160 of this Act, is an employer who is liable under all relevant policies of insurance to pay premiums which in total do not exceed $2,000.
For the purposes of subclause (1), a relevant policy of insurance is—
the policy under which the claim is made, and
any other policy that is issued for the same period or for a part of the period to which the policy referred to in paragraph (a) applies.
