Workers Compensation Act 1987

The Authority may defer consideration of an application for registration of a commutation agreement under Division 9 of Part 3 of the 1987 Act that is made on or after the introduction date (a transitional commutation agreement) until 3 months after a work capacity assessment of the injured worker is conducted.

If the amount of compensation payable to an existing recipient of weekly payments of compensation changes as a result of an amendment made by the 2012 amending Act, the change applies for the purposes of the commutation of a liability for that compensation under Division 9 of Part 3 pursuant to a transitional commutation agreement.
