Workers Compensation Act 1987

For the purposes of determining the degree of permanent impairment of an injured worker whose injury happened before 1 January 2002, the worker or the insurer may refer the matter for assessment under Part 7 of Chapter 7 of the 1998 Act. That Part applies in respect of such an assessment as if the matter referred for assessment were a dispute.

This clause does not apply to a worker in respect of an injury if the degree of permanent impairment of the worker resulting from the injury has been assessed before the commencement of this clause.
