8 New procedures for making a claim
(1)
Division 2 of Part 2 (sections 259–264) and Divisions 2–5 of Part 3 (sections 274–286), except section 284, of Chapter 7 of the 1998 Act extend (subject to any modifications prescribed by the regulations for the purposes of this clause) to the making of a claim after the commencement of those sections even if the claim is an existing claim.
(2)
This clause has effect despite section 251 of the 1998 Act.
