A caution may be given for an offence covered by this Act, other than an offence prescribed by the regulations.

Note—

Section 8 sets out offences covered by this Act. Under section 31, a court may give a caution for an offence against the Crimes (Domestic and Personal Violence) Act 2007, section 14, that involves the commission of a personal violence offence.
