44 Notice of impounding
(1)
If a registered dog with an identification device is delivered to a pound, a pound supervisor must notify the registrar who must serve on the registered owner a notice, in the approved form, of the impounding of the dog.
(2)
If a dog with a collar on which the address of its owner is displayed is delivered to a pound, a pound supervisor must notify the registrar who may serve at that address a notice, in the approved form, of the impounding of the dog.
(3)
Except in accordance with clause (1) or (2), the registrar is not obliged to notify the owner of a dog of the impounding of the dog.
