36 Disposal of forfeited goods

(1)

The Competent Authority may dispose of, destroy or render safe or otherwise deal with dangerous goods forfeited to the Territory under section 35 in the manner that he or she thinks fit.

(2)

The cost of disposing of, destroying or rendering safe dangerous goods under subsection (1) is a debt due and payable to the Territory by the person found guilty of the offence referred to in section 35.

(3)

A certificate, purporting to be signed by the Competent

Authority or an officer appointed under section 17(1), specifying the cost of disposing of, destroying or rendering safe specified dangerous goods under subsection (1) is evidence of the cost.
