54 Senior Practitioner directives and approvals

(1)

The Senior Practitioner may, in consultation with the Public

Guardian, issue the following:

(a)

general directives regarding the use of a practice referred to in section 29(1);

(b)

directives expressly allowing the use of a practice for which a health care decision maker would otherwise have no authority to consent to under section 29.

(2)

The Senior Practitioner may approve the use, for a particular adult, of a practice to which a health care decision maker has no authority to consent under section 29, with or without conditions.
