Certificate of completion of clerkship
27 Certificate of completion of clerkship
If at the end of an articled clerk's period of service the articled clerk requests it, the principal must give the articled clerk a certificate specifying whether, in the principal's opinion:
the service of the articled clerk was satisfactory throughout the period of service; and
the articled clerk attained the level of competence required by the competency standards.
If the principal states that the service of the articled clerk was not satisfactory throughout the whole period of service, or that the articled clerk did not achieve the level of competence required by the competency standards, the principal must include the reasons for the statement.
