Cancellation of standstill zone movement permit
67 Cancellation of standstill zone movement permit
If the Chief Inspector considers it necessary, the Chief
Inspector may cancel a standstill zone movement permit orally or in writing.
The cancellation takes effect at the time specified by the Chief
Inspector, which may be immediately after the person in charge of the livestock, animal, animal product or other thing being moved is made aware of the cancellation.
The Chief Inspector must confirm an oral cancellation, and the reason for the cancellation, by written notice:
to the applicant for the permit, regardless of whether the applicant is also the person made aware of the cancellation under subregulation (2); and
if the applicant is not the actual owner of the livestock, animal, animal product or other thing for which the permit was issued – to the actual owner.
Note for regulation 67
A person is not entitled to apply for a review of the decision to cancel a standstill zone movement permit – see section 118 of the Act.
