25 Requirements related to counsellors
(1)
A counsellor must be:
(a)
a member, or a person eligible for full membership, of the
Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association; or
(b)
a person with other qualifications prescribed by regulation.
(2)
A counsellor must be independent of any business providing fertility services.
(3)
The counselling provided by a counsellor must be consistent with any guidelines relevant to surrogacy, in effect as of the time of the counselling, issued by:
(a)
the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors
Association; and
(b)
the National Health and Medical Research Council.
