Aboriginal Land Act 1991

After the appeal period for the available land, the trustee must give each applicant who is able to participate in the allocation process for the available land a notice stating—

the date, time and place where the available land will be allocated (the allocation date); and

if the allocation notice requires a deposit to be paid—the date by which the deposit must be paid; and

the applicant must give notice to the trustee before the allocation date if the applicant no longer wishes to participate in the allocation process.

The date mentioned in subsection (1)(b) must be—

at least 30 days after the notice under this section is given; and

before the allocation date.

If the applicant does not pay the deposit by the date mentioned in subsection (1)(b), the applicant must not participate in the allocation process.
