Biosecurity Act 2014

The Governor in Council may make regulations under this Act.

A regulation may be made about the following—

fees payable under this Act;

ways in which a person’s general biosecurity obligation can be discharged to prevent or minimise a biosecurity risk;

measures to prevent or control the spread of biosecurity matter;

ways of destroying, demolishing or disposing of biosecurity matter or a carrier;

maximum acceptable levels of contaminants in carriers;

declarations of entities as invasive animal boards;

imposing a penalty of no more than 20 penalty units for contravention of a provision of a regulation.
